Bridgerton season 3 is not coming to Netflix in January 2023! The third season of the smash hit regency drama, which made its debut on Christmas Day 2020, is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the season. Season 3 will divert from Julia Quinn’s novels to focus on the love story of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

But if you were hoping to be reunited with Lady Whistledown for the latest gossip around the ton, then you’ll be disappointed to learn that Bridgerton season 3 will not be finding its way to our screens at any point during the month of January.

Bridgerton season 3 release updates

While the ton can’t wait for the next season of Bridgerton, the wait for now still continues. Officially, Bridgerton season 3 does not have a set release date, but we do know it’s been scheduled to be released sometime in 2023.

Well, if we’re to listen to the rumors circulating online, the wait for the next installment of the sizzling romance series might not be as long as we all feared. According to reports, production on Bridgerton season 3 was set to wrap in late December, so at this time of writing it’s likely that filming has already been completed.

There’s still a wait for post-production to wrap up on season 3, but there is a possibility that new episodes of Bridgerton could find their way onto our screens sometime in early spring 2023! However, it should be noted that Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is also in the works and has been scheduled for a 2023 release, at this time we are unsure whether the prequel will be released before season 3, or in conjunction.

Should Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story be released first it’s likely that Netflix will choose to spread out the releases meaning that Bridgerton season 3 could arrive later than spring 2023. It’s possible the third season could be a Christmastime release just like season 1 was. You’ll have to stay tuned for more updates!
