When you think of holiday movies, the more cheery and optimistic ones first come to mind. But this year, we’ve gotten ones that are a bit different. Stranger Things‘ David Harbour headlines Violent Night. This year, Netflix also released a comedic mystery, Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Murder Mystery.

The around 50-minute Christmas special is part of Netflix series, Murderville. In each episode, a guest star plays a rookie detective but they are not given a script beforehand, allowing for improvisation. Their goal is to figure out who the true killer is.

Krister Johnson, who developed the original, serves as showrunner and writer on the special. Other writers include Owen Burke, Marina Cockenberg, and Kerry O’Neill. Executive producers are Will Arnett, Marc Forman, Jonathan Stern, Peter Principato, and Brian Steinberg.
