The Christmas Chronicles is the most popular Netflix original Christmas movie to date. The movie premiered on Netflix for the holidays in 2018. It was a massive hit for Netflix, and it’s still a great Christmas movie to watch every holiday season.

In the movie, Kurt Russell is Santa Claus. While making his normal annual visit to the Chicago area, Santa’s sleigh breaks down. Two local kids, Teddy and Kate, played by Judah Lewis and Darby Camp, end up helping Santa after they snuck into his sleigh.

The Christmas Chronicles was so popular. Netflix quickly moved to bring back the whole cast for The Christmas Chronicles 2, which was released on Netflix in 2020.

Now, we’re all just waiting for The Christmas Chronicles 3. We’ll have to wait and see if it happens!
