Holiday in the Wild premiered on Netflix during the holiday season in 2019, and it’s easily one of the best Netflix Christmas movies from that time. It was one of the first big Netflix Christmas movies that caught on in the mainstream, along with A Christmas Prince and more.

Holiday in the Wild stars Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis. It tells the story of a woman, Kate, who is having trouble in her marriage. She books a trip to Africa with her husband, but he decides not to go. There, Kate meets Derek, and you all know what happens next.

If you’re in the mood for a holiday movie on Netflix that’s not set in the usual small-town setting, Holiday in the Wild is the perfect movie for you.

Lowe and Davis are great in this movie. Unfortunately, this is one of the better Netflix Christmas movies not to get a sequel.
