Firefly Lane: Is KPOC a real news station in Washington?

However, if you’re like us and have already watched all nine episodes of part 1, you’re probably left with several questions. You might also be wondering when Firefly Lane season 2 part 2 will be released.

Fortunately, it’s been revealed that the final part is slated to come out in 2023. So we don’t have to worry about any delays. That’s good news, right? Our guess is that we’re looking at a spring or summer release. This would provide a big enough gap between the release of each part.

In the ’80s timeline in Firefly Lane, Tully and Kate begin working at a local news station in Washington called KPOC. Tully starts as an assistant and eventually gets Kate hired. As expected from the ambitious Tully Hart, she works her way up the ladder of KPOC. Since most of the ’80s timeline takes place at KPOC, you might be wondering if it’s a real news station. Luckily, we know the answer and shared it below.

Is KPOC from Firefly Lane a real news station in Washington?

Nope. KPOC is not an actual news station you can work at or visit in Washington. It is a fictional news station created for the book and show. It might look like a real news station in the series, but that’s the purpose.

It’s unknown where the cast and crew shot the KPOC scenes, but our guess is either in an office building in Canada or on a built set at a studio.
