Elite season 6, episode 2 recap: “Selfies”
The second episode opens with Nico having sex with the girl he was kissing at Isadora’s party. Later at the dinner table, Nico’s parents talk about Nico’s transition. His mom mentions that she’s scared that Nico will be left heartbroken by someone who isn’t as well-adjusted. Then, it cuts to Ari walking around her house drinking alcohol. It’s obvious that Ari is the person Nico’s mom is talking about. The episode then flashes forward to the night Iván gets hit. Ari is noticeably drunk leaving Isadora’s playhouse. She gets into her car, starts driving, breaks, and then starts driving again. Could Ari be the person who hit Iván?
The episode then cuts back to the present time. Sara walks down a hallway at Las Encinas as she goes live on social media. Sara tells her followers that Isadora lied about being sexually assaulted for attention. She bumps into Isadora, Mencía, Nico, and Rocío. They share some words and then Sara walks away. Elsewhere, Hugo, Alex, and Javi try to get their classmates on their side.
Later, Ari invites Nico out for drinks to get him to see she’s not who he thinks she is. Nico reluctantly agrees to the outing. They have a good time together and are about to sleep with each other until Ari tells Nico she needs a drink. Nico realizes that Ari is having a hard time accepting that he’s a trans man. He then leaves the hotel room heartbroken.
With the video footage of Cruz and Patrick kissing circulating all over social media, Patrick decides to go live and tell his followers that he’s the one who kissed Cruz. Although it’s a lie, he wants to protect Cruz from being outed. Iván calls Patrick, and they have a heart-to-heart that ends with them breaking up.
Elsewhere, Hugo, Alex, and Javi enter Isadora’s playhouse. Isadora notices them but decides to let them stay. However, Dídac has started to lose trust in his childhood friend, Javi. So, he gets Javi drunk to get him to tell the truth about what happened that night in Ibiza. Javi confesses while Dídac records the conversation. Then, Dídac goes to find Isadora and lets her listen to the recording. He offers to send over the audio, and Isadora thanks him. Sara is standing next to Isadora, so she now knows the truth.
As soon as Sara gets home, she goes live on social media to apologize for not believing in Isadora. The next morning, she discovers that she has lost 1.5 million followers. Raúl approaches Sara, and they argue about them losing followers before he starts to abuse her.
At Las Encinas, Patrick shows Iván a live stream video of Cruz at a press conference. During the press conference, Cruz admits he kissed Patrick first and that he’s gay. The episode ends with Patrick and Iván staring at each other in shock at what they just watched.
