The Wonder cast: Who’s in the Netflix movie?

Get ready because a new movie starring Academy Award-nominated actress, Florence Pugh, lands on Netflix on Nov. 16! If you’re looking forward to watching The Wonder like us, then we must let you know who you can expect to see in the film.

The Wonder was directed by Sebastián Lelio. You might recognize Lelio from his work on the movies Gloria, A Fantastic Woman and Disobedience. In addition, the screenplay for the drama movie was written by Lelio, Emma Donoghue, and Alice Birch.

Like many other Netflix movies, The Wonder is based on a book. It’s based on the novel of the same name by Emma Donoghue and follows an English nurse who travels to the Irish Midlands to observe a young girl who claims not to have eaten for four months but remains miraculously alive.

The Wonder cast

Florence Pugh stars in the leading role of Nurse Lib Wright. Pugh is best known for her roles in the movies Lady Macbeth, Outlaw King, Fighting with My Family, Midsommar, Little Women and Black Widow. Her most recent film is Don’t Worry Darling, which also stars Harry Styles. You might even recognize Pugh from her roles in the TV shows The Little Drummer Girl and Hawkeye. Her upcoming projects include roles in the movies Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, A Good Person, Oppenheimer and Dune: Part Two.

Kíla Lord Cassidy plays the role of Anna O’Donnell, an 11-year-old girl who is said to have survived without food for months. Cassidy is a newcomer to the entertainment industry, but you might recognize her from her roles in The Doorman and Viewpoint.
