We are already midway through November, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and Christmas isn’t too far away. Time is clearly an illusion and it’s moving way too fast. But one good thing happening this week is that Netflix is adding a bunch of new movies and shows to its lineup.

This week, you can look forward to a new horror series, a new season of a Netflix Original, and a new holiday edition of a very popular baking competition show.

One of the first big things coming this week is 1899. The horror series hits Netflix on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022. The eight-episode series follows a group of immigrants going from the old continent to the new. But this is not an eventless trip. Plenty of unimaginable horrors occur when they come across another ship that seems to be adrift on the open sea.

The show stars Andreas Pietschmann, Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Miguel Bernardeau, and Mathilde Ollivier.

Netflix is adding 1899 and Dead to Me season 3 this week

Take a look at the trailer here:

Dead to Me is also finally back for its third and final season. It comes to Netflix on Thursday, Nov. 17. The show has been off the air for over two years but Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini have returned!

At the end of season 2, Ben crashed his car into another vehicle that just so happened to be driven by Jen and Judy. The new season will certainly be dealing with that aftermath. Based on the trailer, we know that Judy and Jen survived but there could be more consequences to come.

Check out the trailer for season 3 here:

The Great British Baking Show is also wrapping up this week but the holiday show is just.  beginning. Season 5 of The Great British Baking Show: Holidays hits Netflix on Friday, Nov. 18. Paul and Prue will be judging the baking creations of celebrities Olly Alexander, Lydia West, Nathanial Curtis, and Shaun Dooley.

Considering how well celebrities have done in the past…this should be interesting. If nothing else, it is sure to be Christmas-y
