The Crown season 6: When could The Crown’s final season arrive?

The Crown season 5 finally arrived on Nov. 9 and the wait for the fifth season of Netflix’s Emmy-winning drama definitely proved to be worth it. The new season of the series covered so much ground across its ten episodes as the show jumped head-first into the 1990s to address the many controversies the British monarchy faced in the decade.

Of course, the heart of the show remained the story of Queen Elizabeth II; however, there is no denying it’s Elizabeth Debicki who steals the show in the role of Princess Diana. Across the season Debicki delivers a stunning performance as the Princess of Wales, as the show dives into some of her darker days as well as some of Prince Diana’s most iconic moments.

Across the season, we begin building toward Diana’s tragic death which will play a key role in the show’s sixth and final season. In fact, the season ends by setting up a key moment in Diana’s final days which is sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

The good news is that another season of The Crown is coming, and all signs seem to be pointing toward fans not having to wait too long to see how the show will come to an end.

The Crown season 6 release predictions

While we aren’t likely to get an official release date until closer to the season 6 premiere, if we had to make an educated guess, it’s most likely The Crown season 6 will arrive in November 2023.

Netflix doesn’t tend to stick with a consistent release schedule for most of its original shows, but The Crown is one of the few shows that has released new seasons during the same month throughout its run with only one exception. With the exception of season 2, every season of The Crown has dropped during the month of November.

For this reason, it seems highly likely Netflix will release the final season of The Crown in November 2023. The only other month that seems like a candidate for the new season’s release is December as December is when Netflix chose to release season 3 back in 2017.

Of course, if production hits any snags there is also a chance we could see the show delayed until 2024; however, everything seems to be on track and we don’t imagine Netflix will hold the season back unless absolutely necessary.
