Manifest season 4 episode 2 recap: All-Call

Saanvi visits Ben for the first time in a few months to share her discovery of Captain Daly’s recording from Eureka on the Black Box. He refuses to listen to the recording or follow Callings. When Cal gets on his case about going above and beyond to find Eden, Ben decides to appear on Aaron Glover’s podcast. After the recording, a caller reports spotting Angelina across from Anna Ross’ house, where he and Zeke get Anna to confess to harboring her. Finally, Ben receives concrete confirmation that Eden is alive.

Michaela appears for her Registry summons and Drea, now working on the inside, inquires whether she was at the site of Henry Kim’s disappearance and instructs her to meet Jared. He warns Michaela that China knows Henry is in the United States and they’re tracking his coordinates. Michaela attempts to move Henry, but the NYPD chases them down and Henry surrenders without Michaela getting noticed. Later, Drea helps sneak Cal into the Registry to complete a Calling with Henry.

Angelina cuts and dyes her hair and also cuts Eden’s hair in the bathroom of a public library before searching for new housing. She and Eden move into a room in a woman’s home, but the woman clearly holds a grudge against 828ers and locks them in the room. A Calling leads Adrian to break Angelina and Eden out of their dangerous boarding situation and secretly move them into his own boarding house for 828 passengers.

Biggest Revelations:

• Flashbacks reveal what happened on the day of Grace’s funeral, including Cal not sitting with the family during the proceeding.
• The passengers are required to check-in with the Registry once a month. Failure to meet this requirement could result in jail time.
• Henry was struck by lightning as a child and it gave him a scar on his forearm resembling a dragon. In the end of the episode, Cal mysteriously has the same scar on his forearm.
• Michaela disinvited Jared from Grace’s funeral reception because of what he said about Zeke, causing the gulf between them for two years. During the reception, Michaela and Zeke finally had their “talk” to get back to a better place in their marriage.
• Jared and Drea are sleeping with each other.
• Saanvi calls on Dr. Cooper’s help to discover additional sounds in the Black Box, which includes all of the voices from their Callings.
