Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes
The first installment of the Conversations With a Killer series came in 2019 with The Ted Bundy Tapes. At the time, Netflix was also getting ready to release Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, the Bundy movie starring Zac Efron and Lily Collins.
Similar to the Dahmer installment, The Ted Bundy Tapes features audio interviews with the infamous serial killer, chronicling his crimes and his trials. The docuseries also includes interviews with survivors, family members, and law enforcement who worked on the case.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Bundy confessed to murdering 30 women between the years 1974 to 1978 and received the death sentence. At the time, he was known to be a charming, alluring, and successful man who could pursue women easily. Unfortunately, that led to him being able to trick women into helping him before killing them. The Ted Bundy Tapes will certainly keep you up at night.
Conversations With a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes
Probably the creepiest installment of the Conversations With a Killer docuseries is The John Wayne Gacy Tapes. Just like the other two, this one includes interviews with the serial killer himself along with accounts from people who knew him and one of his survivors. Between the years 1972 and 1978, Gacy murdered over 30 boys and young men. He buried most of them in the crawl space of his home.
Many people might associate Gacy with clowns, as he dressed up as one for children’s and charity events. He was even nicknamed the Killer Clown. He lived a completely double life, starting his own construction business where he met many of the men he targeted. After he was caught, Gacy received the death sentence.
Like the other two installments, The John Wayne Gacy Tapes is not for the faint-hearted.
