Netflix is adding 26 new movies and shows this week (Oct. 9, 2022)

A new week is here and with it comes a bunch of new movies and shows on Netflix. This week, we get a new cooking competition show, a new adventure comedy movie, and a new season of a teen rom-com series.

One of the first new shows coming this week is Easy-Bake Battle. The new cooking competition hits Netflix on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022. The show is hosted by Queer Eye‘s Antoni Porowski and contestants must use their best kitchen hacks to make the easiest and most delicious meals.

Unfortunately, they won’t have to actually use an Easy-Bake Oven for each challenge which is what I thought the show was originally going to be about but it should still be an interesting show.

Next up, and just in time for Halloween, is The Curse of Bridge Hollow. The comedy-adventure movie hits Netflix on Friday, Oct. 14, and stars Stranger Things‘ Priah Ferguson, Marlon Wayans, Nia Vardalos, Lauren Lapkus, Rob Riggle, and Kelly Rowland.

Netflix adding Mismatched season 2 and Easy-Bake Battle this week

It follows a teenage girl who accidentally releases an ancient spirit on Halloween. The spirit causes Halloween decorations to come to life and cause chaos. She must team up with her father if she wants to save her town.

More in the mood for a teen romance series? Well, you’re in luck because Mismatched is back for season 2 on Friday, Oct. 14. The series is based on the popular book When Dimple Meets Rishi by Sandhya Menon. Dimple is an ambitious tech wizard who wants to achieve her goals and Rishi is a die-hard romantic. When their parents set them up, Rishi is almost immediately in love with Dimple and wants to marry her.

At the end of season 1, Dimple and Rishi did not end on the best of terms and when they are reunited in season 2, there is still plenty of tension.

This week also brings season 4 of The Sinner and Sue Perkins: Perfectly Legal on Thursday, Oct. 13.
