Is East New York on Netflix? (where to watch)

“Pilot” – Amanda Warren stars as Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood, the newly promoted boss of the 74th Precinct in East New York – a working-class neighborhood on the edge of Brooklyn in the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification. With family ties to the area, Haywood is determined to deploy creative methods to protect her beloved community with the help of her officers and detectives. But first, she has the daunting task of getting them on board, as some are skeptical of her promotion, and others resist the changes she is desperate to make. Her team includes her mentor, shrewd veteran two-star Chief John Suarez; Marvin Sandeford, a highly respected training officer and expert on the neighborhood; Tommy Killian, a detective with some old-school approaches to policing; Capt. Stan Yenko, Haywood’s gregarious and efficient right hand; Crystal Morales, an intuitive detective who can’t be intimidated; Andre Bentley, a trainee from an upper middle-class background; and ambitious patrol officer Brandy Quinlan, the sole volunteer to live in a local housing project as part of Haywood’s plan to bridge the gap between police and community. Regina Haywood has a vision: she and the squad of the 74th Precinct will not only serve their community – they’ll also become part of it, on the series premiere of EAST NEW YORK, Sunday, Oct. 2 (9:30-10:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*, before moving to its regular 9:00-10:00 PM time slot Oct. 9. Series also stars Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, Richard Kind, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Olivia Luccardi and Lavel Schley. Pictured (L-R): Darien Sills-Evans as Deputy Mayor Raymond O. Not sick of police procedurals yet? Well good news, a new one is coming out this Sunday night! East New York is yet another show about cops and criminals based in New York. This one is set at the 74th precinct in…you guessed it, East New York, Brooklyn.

The Leftovers actress Amanda Warren stars as the commanding officer, newly promoted Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood. Warren is joined by Jimmy Smits, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Kevin Rankin, Richard Kind, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Olivia Luccardi.

Police procedurals are CBS’ bread and butter, what with the NCIS series still going strong and even the newer FBI which already launched a spinoff series of its own. So maybe if East New York does well CBS will greenlight West New York.

If you’re looking forward to watching the new series, find out exactly when and where it’s streaming.

Is East New York on Netflix?

Because East New York is a CBS series, don’t expect it to be on Netflix, at least not in the United States. The good news is that Netflix is streaming several crime television shows if you’re interested in watching similar content. The Blacklist, NCIS, LA’s Finest, Designated Survivor, and How to Get Away with Murder are all currently available on Netflix.

Where to watch East New York

East New York premieres on Sunday, October 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS. It looks like the 9:30 airing is due to NFL overrun. On Sundays following that, new episodes of East New York will air at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Episodes will also be available to live stream as they air on the Paramount+ streaming service or you can watch them on-demand on the app once they premiere.
