20th Century Girl sees Kim Yoo-jung make her Netflix debut. She’s nicknamed the “Nation’s Little Sister” and was one of the best-known child actresses in South Korea. She’s starred in television series like Moon Embracing the Sun, Golden Rainbow and Angry Mom. In 20th Century Girl, she plays the protagonist, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the character.

20th Century Girl synopsis

The story is set in 1999 and follows Na Bo-ra, a 17-year-old girl who’s a member of the broadcasting club at her school. One day, Na Bo-ra’s best friend Yeon-du asks Na Bo-ra to find out everything about her crush Baek Hyun-jin. But when Na Bo-ra starts to get close to Baek Hyun-jin, she starts to develop feelings, which makes for a complicated situation.

"In 1999 — the last year of the 20th century — 17-year-old Bo-ra finds her first love: a sweet, pure but heartbreaking relationship. Years later in the 21st century, news about her first love revives her teenage romance that she thought had been forgotten."
