Netflix’s Bridgerton prequel series finally has an official title! The streamer hasn’t done a big reveal yet, but it’s expected to be announced at TUDUM on Sept. 24, along with other details about the upcoming period drama.

We’re super excited about the TUDUM event because there are so many of our favorite Netflix shows included in the lineup. We’re talking Emily in ParisSquid Game, Stranger ThingsThe WitcherYouOuter BanksEliteBridgerton and many others. In addition, some highly anticipated Netflix movies will also be featured at the event, like SlumberlandExtraction 2The School For Good And EvilGlass Onion: A Knives Out MysteryEnola Holmes 2 etc.

But I know I’m not speaking for myself when I say one of the Netflix titles I’m most excited to see at TUDUM is the Bridgerton prequel. Production recently wrapped on Aug. 30, according to an Instagram post by the show’s director Tom Verica. So I wonder what will be discussed and unveiled about the show at the event. Could the release date or release window be announced? Or maybe a teaser will be released. We’ll just have to wait and see. Fortunately, the streamer has shared the official title to hold us over until the event on Sept. 24.

What is the official title for the Bridgerton prequel series?

Drum roll, please. The official title for the Bridgerton prequel is Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story! It’s a very fitting title, in my opinion. Previously, we reported that the working title for the prequel was Queen Charlotte. However, it looks like the creative team behind the series wanted to make it more unique by adding more to the title. And why not include the hit show it’s a spinoff of?

So how did we find out the official title? Well, when Netflix released the list of shows and movies to be featured at TUDUM, we noticed that a show titled Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story was included in the lineup. Besides Bridgerton, there’s only one other Netflix show where Queen Charlotte is included and that’s the Bridgerton prequel.

I find it weird that Netflix decided to announce the title this way. Netflix could’ve just used the working title or Bridgerton prequel and waited to announce the official title at TUDUM. However, I’m pretty sure there will be an official announcement when the event gets to Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

Be sure to tune in and stream Netflix’s TUDUM global fan event on Sept. 24 to find out more juicy details about Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
