Sophie Jonas (neé Turner) is the talented English actress who brought Sansa Stark to life for seven seasons in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, a role that even earned her a Primetime Emmy nomination.

She has since gone on to star in several X-Men films as Jean Grey and recently appeared opposite Colin Firth and Toni Collette in The Staircase. Outside of her burgeoning acting career, Jonas is married to Joe Jonas, hence the name change, and the pair have two children. She even appeared (and gave a hilarious performance) in the Jonas Brothers Family Roast special on Netflix.

Next, she’ll star in the social media thriller film Come As You Are alongside Hero Fiennes Tiffin.

Sophie Jonas’ biggest claim to fame thus far is from her starring role in the massive HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones. Jonas played Sansa Stark throughout all eight seasons of the show, which is based on the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin. Game of Thrones follows the political machinations and scheming between noble families, all vying for the Iron Throne and rule over the seven kingdoms.

Do Revenge

Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke star as teenagers Drea and Eleanor in this irreverent teen comedy loosely based on Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film Strangers on a Train. Drea and Eleanor agree to “do revenge” against each other’s respective tormentors.

For Drea, that means her ex, who released a private video of her; for Eleanor, that means getting back at her bully Carissa. Sophie has a minor role in the movie, but you definitely don’t want to miss out.

Dark Phoenix

Dark Phoenix is one of the final movies in Fox’s X-Men saga and was met with polarizing opinions from critics and audiences. But if you’re a Sophie Jonas fan, her portrayal of Jean Grey is a must-watch, especially since Dark Phoenix is an adaptation of one of the comic’s most popular arcs. You’ll also want to watch X-Men: Apocalypse, where Jonas’ version of the character is first introduced.
