The first full week of September is beginning and with it comes quite a few new movies and shows to Netflix. This week the streaming service is adding a new weekly K-drama, a new season of a fan-favorite series, and a new movie starring Queen Latifah.

First up is Once Upon a Small Town. The K-drama hits Netflix on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022. The 12-episode series will have episodes available every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with the season finale on Sept. 28.

The series follows a veterinarian from a big city who must move to a small town in the countryside. While there, he meets a police officer who he might just have feelings for. If you’re a romance fan, you know this trope very well.

This week also brings season 5 of Cobra Kai on Friday, Sept. 9. The fan-favorite Netflix series is based on The Karate Kid franchise but takes place decades after the events in the movies.

End of the Road and Cobra Kai season 5 coming to Netflix this week

In season 5, Terry Silver is leading Cobra Kai and trying to become the only karate business in the state of California. And with Daniel LaRusso the only one still in the game (Kreese is in jail and Johnny is stepping aside), he will have to rely on an old frenemy, Chozen, to help him stop Terry from taking over.

End of the Road is also headed to Netflix on Friday, Sept. 9. The new movie stars Queen Latifah, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Mychala Faith Lee, Shaun Dixon, and  Francis Lee McCain.

The film follows Brenda and her family as they take a cross-country road trip. But that trip soon turns dangerous when they stop at a hotel and hear a murder in the next room. It also doesn’t help that Brenda’s brother takes a bag full of money and then a killer sets his sights on them. Needless to say, it’s not the type of family trip they were expecting.
