Lost Ollie was released on Netflix on Aug. 24 and people are quickly making their way through the four-episode limited series. However, some people have held back from watching the show because they’re wondering if they can watch it with the entire family. Of course, we’ve got you covered! We shared the parents guide and age rating so that you’ll know if the show is okay to watch with kids.

Lost Ollie is a new Netflix original series created by Shannon Tindle. Tindle is best known for working as a Character Designer on the TV shows Static ShockThe Fairly OddParentsThe Proud Family and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. He also worked on the films The CroodsTurbo and The Emoji Movie. Peter Ramsey, who’s best known for directing the animated film Rise of the Guardians, helmed Lost Ollie.

It’s based on the 2016 children’s novel Ollie’s Odyssey by renowned author and illustrator William Joyce and tells the story of a lost toy who embarks on an epic adventure to reunite with the young boy who lost him.

The cast includes Jonathan Groff, Kesler Talbot, Gina Rodriguez, Jake Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, and Mary J. Blige.

Lost Ollie parents guide and age rating

The miniseries is rated TV-PG, meaning parental guidance is suggested. It contains content that some parents may find inappropriate for younger children to watch. It was given this age rating for fear and mild themes. There’s also mild profanity used by some of the characters and scenes that might be frightening for a younger audience. However, I believe you’ll have no problem watching the show with kids over the age of 7, in my opinion. Still, it’s up to the parents to decide whether or not they want to allow their kids to watch the show.
