Mo cast: Who’s in the Netflix series starring Mohammed Amer?
New Netflix series Mo is now streaming! The eight-episode season of the comedy debuted Aug. 24, and we’re loving it. The show just came out, and already we’re hoping for a second season.
The series takes us into the life of Mo Najjar, a Palestinian refugee living in Houston, Texas with his resilient and spiritual mother, sister, and older brother. He has to straddle the line between two cultures, three languages, and the many struggles he faces as a refugee.
That includes constantly living one step away from asylum on the path to U.S. citizenship. He laughs the pain away and learns to adapt to his new world. Though getting ahead in life comes with several setbacks.
