Netflix is adding 20 new movies and shows this week (Aug. 22, 2022)

A new week is here and, as always, that means Netflix is adding a bunch of new movies and shows to their lineup. This week the new content includes a new comedy series, a new kid’s series, and a new real estate reality show.

First up this week is Mo! The comedy series hits Netflix on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, and follows Palestinian refugee, Mo, as he seeks asylum, tries to figure out the line between two cultures (and three languages) and navigates his way to U.S. citizenship. There are plenty of setbacks and obstacles in his way, but he tries to use humor to get through it all.

The eight-episode series stars Mohammed Amer, Teresa Ruiz, Farah Bsieso, Omar Elba, Tobe Nwigwe, and Mohammad Hindi.

Lost Ollie is also coming to Netflix this week on Wednesday, Aug. 24. The kid’s series follows a lost toy who travels throughout the countryside looking for the boy he belongs to. It also looks at the story of the boy who lost what was his best friend. Have the tissues ready!

Mo and Selling the OC hits Netflix this week

The four-episode series features both live-action and animation and stars Jonathan Groff, Jake Johnson, Gina Rodriguez, Tim Blake Nelson, Mary J. Blige, and Kesler Talbot.

And another real estate reality show is headed to Netflix this week too (don’t we have enough??). Selling the OC comes to Netflix on Wednesday, Aug. 24. It follows Jason Oppenheim from Selling Sunset but he’s expanding and opening a new office in Newport Beach. As always, the group will be selling the most expensive houses you’ve ever seen and getting into all sorts of drama.
