Well, the end is officially here, at least for now. The third film in the 365 Days trilogy is now streaming on Netflix. The Next 365 Days picks up after the crazy dramatic climax as the end of 365 Days: This Day, which left Laura’s fate up in the air (again).

Major spoilers ahead for The Next 365 Days

Below we’ll detail all the major twists and plot developments that occur at the end of The Next 365 Days. If you don’t want to get spoiled on what happens in the movie, you’ll probably want to turn back now!

The Next 365 Days ending: Does anyone die?

As expected, Laura did not die in the shooting, although she was injured. The only real death is of Massimo’s evil twin brother, Adriano. Anna also died. But Laura survived the shooting.

The Next 365 Days ending: Do Laura and Massimo end up together?

That’s the big question, isn’t it? Most of the movie is spent with Laura trying to decide between Massimo and Nacho. But The Next 365 Days leaves the ending ambiguous. Laura returns to Massimo and they share a moment on the beach. However, the movie does not tell us definitively whether or not Laura and Massimo got back together or if she went back to Nacho.

The Next 365 Days ending: Massimo and Nacho threesome

You might have seen photos and clips floating around from a steamy threesome with Laura, Massimo and Nacho. Could the movie have ended with all three in an open relationship? Not quite. That was actually a fantasy sequence Laura had while trying to decide between the two men.

The Next 365 Days ending: What happens to Nacho?

Laura and Massimo agree to take some time apart as they focus on their careers. Laura finds herself drawn back to Nacho, who we know is a rival gangster to Massimo’s organization. But Nacho doesn’t want to pressure Laura to be with him even though he loves her.

He tells her he is willing to wait for her to decide what she wants between him and Massimo. Nacho also reveals he saved Massimo by shooting Anna that fateful day (in the second movie) because he knows she loves him.

The Next 365 Days ending: What happens at the end?

As mentioned, at the end of the movie, Laura returns to Massimo after having slept with Nacho again. Nacho agrees to wait for her and give her time to figure out what she wants and so does Massimo. You think, on the beach, that Massimo might get angry about her and Nacho but he actualyl reveals he knew about them for a long time.

He’s more upset that his own actions pushed Laura away from him and she had to deal with the loss of the baby alone. Then he recites an old parable about how if you love something you should set it free and if it comes back to you, it’s meant to be, if not, then it’s gone forever. He asks Laura, “Are you back baby girl?” and that’s where the movie ends!

So, does that mean Laura is actually ready to be back with Massimo? Does she go back to Nacho? It’s up to you, as the viewer, to decide. Either that, or there will be a 365 Days 4 at some point.

How does The Next 365 Days differ from the book?

The movie is actually vastly different from the book. In the novel version, there’s all kinds of horrible stuff as Massimo essentially goes full villain. He threatens Laura by sending her a dead dog, tries to force her to get pregnant and all kinds of other abusive behavior. In contrast, the movie makes Massimo seem like a more mature and evolved individual.

Does The Next 365 Days have a post-credits scene?

Sadly no, if you were hoping for more hints or closure after the film ended you won’t find them here. The Next 365 Days does not have a post-credits scene.

The Next 365 Days is now streaming on Netflix.
