Psychological thrillers can get intense. Hence the name, psychological thrillers. And just based on the first looks we’ve gotten of new Netflix series, Echoes, we’re in for a real mind-bending ride!

The new show will begin streaming Friday, Aug. 19, with a total of seven episodes. The miniseries introduces us to identical twin sisters Leni and Gina. The two share a dangerous secret. Since they were children, they’ve swapped lives without anyone knowing.

As adults, both live a double life – sharing two homes, two husbands, and a child. But, as Netflix shares, everything in their “perfectly choreographed” world is thrown into disarray when one of the sisters goes missing. Now that’s quite the secret!

One of the sister’s husbands is Jack Beck, played by actor Matt Bomer. Starring alongside the actor are Michelle Monaghan as the twin sisters, Daniel Sunjata as Charlie Davenport, Karen Robinson as Sheriff Floss, Jonathan Tucker as Dylan James, and Ali Stroker as Claudia.

While his character’s marriage is certainly problematic, thankfully Bomer’s relationship status isn’t complicated!

Bomer is married to publicist Simon Hall. The two exchanged vows in 2011, but their marriage wasn’t made public until 2014. Together, they share three children through surrogacy. Bomer and Hall have three boys – Kit Halls who was born in 2005, and twin brothers Walker and Henry Halls who arrived in 2008.

According to Deadline, Bomer’s character Jack Beck is Leni’s husband. He’s the boy-next-door who grew up to be the perfect husband everyone wishes for. He’s soulful, a loving father, and valuable member of the community. Jack runs a successful veterinary practice and horse farm on the land that’s been in his family for generations. When his wife disappears, he has the most to lose as her secret life is not so secret anymore.

Echoes will begin streaming Friday, Aug. 19 on Netflix.
