Is new murder mystery series Bad Sisters on Netflix?

If you were a fan of British sitcom Catastrophe, which starred American actor Rob Delaney and Irish actress Sharon Horgan, then you’ll be excited to hear Horgan is back for a new series! Bad Sisters premieres Friday, Aug. 19.

Horgan created, co-wrote, and executive produced the upcoming dark comedy. Joining her onscreen are Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, Eve Hewson, Anne-Marie duff, Claies Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab, and Saise Quinn.

With the release of the new show so soon, can you expect to see it added to Netflix’s catalog?

Is Bad Sisters on Netflix?

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to watch Bad Sisters on Netflix. The new series isn’t a Netflix Original. It’s an exclusive Apple production, which means you’ll only be able to stream it on Apple TV+. On premiere day, the first two episodes will be released, followed by one new installment weekly until the finale on Oct. 14. The season has a total of 10 episodes.

Bad Sisters tells the story of the tight-knit Garvey sisters who have always looked out for each other. The five siblings have a close relationship due to the premature death of their parents. When their brother-in-law winds up dead, his life insurers suspect malicious intent. And it’s the sisters who are at the top of their list of suspects, as they all had a reason to kill him.

The teaser trailer hints at the fact that the brother-in law, John, is verbally abusive (it’s not clear if he’s physically abusive as well), which seems to be the motivating factor behind the sisters’ plan to get rid of him. They do always have each other’s back after all. But they don’t want Grace, one of the Garvey sisters and John’s wife, to ever find out what they did.
