Purple Hearts is a romantic drama film helmed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum from a screenplay co-written by Kyle Jarrow and Liz Garcia.

The story follows Cassie Salazar, an aspiring singer-songwriter living with Type 1 diabetes, and Luke Morrow, a U.S. Marine preparing for deployment. In a chance encounter, Cassie and Luke meet and they don’t get off on the right foot due to their different worldviews. But when they realize one thing they have in common is financial debt, they decide to enter a temporary marriage solely for military benefits. However, neither Cassie nor Luke expected their fake relationship to turn into something real as time passed.
