What is Alba about on Netflix?

On July 15, Netflix will release a new drama series titled Alba and we’ve shared all the important details about the show below!

Alba is a Spanish original series created by Carlos Martín and Ignasi Rubio and produced by Atresmedia and Boomerang TV. Martin and Rubio had worked together in the past as writers on the drama series Gavilanes. Montse García, Pablo Guerrero, and Luis Santamaría signed on as executive producers.

The drama series is a Spanish adaptation of the popular Turkish series Fatmagül’ün Suçu Ne? It premiered on Atresplayer Premium in March 2021, and in just a few days, the 13-episode first season will make its way to Netflix.

Alba synopsis

The story follows a young woman named Alba, who wakes up on a beach with no recollection of what happened the night before but with evidence that she had been raped. After Alba discovers that her rapists are her boyfriend’s friends, she’s then set on a mission to get justice for what happened to her.

Alba cast

Elena Rivera stars as Alba, the protagonist. You might recognize Rivera from her roles in The Ministry of Time, Serve and Protect and Sweet Lemon. Eric Masip stars as Bruno, Alba’s boyfriend. Masip is best known for his roles in Caronte, Little Tito and the Aliens, Amar es para siempre and Netflix’s Through My Window.

The show is rated TV-MA, meaning it’s for mature audiences only. It was given this age rating for some of the content shown, like substance use, sex, nudity, sexual violence, and smoking. Some of the characters will also use profanity. Overall, this show should not be watched by kids ages 17 and under.
