Dangerous Liaisons cast: Who’s in the Netflix movie?

On July 8, Netflix will drop a French teen film titled Dangerous Liaisons, and you will want to see what this movie is all about! Based on the novel titled the same name by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos comes a story about love and betrayal. If you loved the ’90s classic Cruel Intentions, then you’ll surely enjoy watching this film.

Dangerous Liaisons was directed by Rachel Suissa from a screenplay by Suissa and Slimane-Baptiste Berhoun. It’s basically a modernized and French version of Cruel Intentions, but with its own twist.

The story follows a 17-year-old girl named Célène who leaves her fiancé in Paris to attend a prestigious high school in Biarritz. When Célène arrives at the school, it doesn’t take long for her to be introduced to the school’s elite, Instagram star Vanessa and celebrity surfer Tristan. Quickly,  Célène finds herself falling in love with Tristan, unaware that she’s the object of a cruel bet between him and Vanessa.

Dangerous Liaisons cast

Paola Locatelli portrays the protagonist, Célène. Paola is a newcomer to the entertainment industry with only two acting credits to her name. However, she’s best known for her role as Anna in the miniseries Chair tendre.

Ella Pellegrini plays the role of former big-screen star, Vanessa. You might recognize Ella from her role in the television series L’école de la vie. She’s also set to star in a short film titled Lettres en ton nom. Lastly, we have Simon Rérolle playing the role of charming surfer Tristan. You might know Simon from his role as Adrien Massy in the TV show Research Unit. He’ll star next in a movie called À propos de nous.
