Arrowverse fans have a treat coming their way this July as The Flash season 8 is finally going to start streaming on the service in several places across the globe.

For more than a decade, The CW has been dominating the field when it comes to DCTV shows, whether you love them or not, you cannot deny they’ve certainly made a name for themselves in the superhero genre. The Flash remains one of the network’s flagship shows and one of the last remaining series in the original Arrowverse now that Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Black Lightning and Supergirl have all wrapped.

Newer shows like Batwoman, Naomi and Superman & Lois have not come to Netflix but The Flash was part of the original CW/Netflix deal and thus will continue streaming on the service after each season’s finale until the show finishes, plus five years after that.

The Flash is already set to continue for a ninth season with star Candice Patton recently renewing her contract to return alongside her co-star Grant Gustin and more.

When is The Flash season 8 coming to Netflix?

The eighth season will air its finale tonight, June 29 and then it will come to Netflix on July 7, 2022. All 20 episodes will be available simultaneously in the US, while in some regions—such as Greece, The Netherlands, Canada, Portugal, Belgium, Israel and others—episodes will drop weekly on Netflix.

The Flash season 9 is expected to be the final season of the series, although that has not been officially announced yet, so it could still change. However, unlike previous seasons, The Flash has been shuffled to midseason, which might mean it will have a shorter episode count, such as 13 or 15 episodes versus the usual 20-22. Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters will take The Flash‘s usual place in the fall line-up.

Besides Gustin and Patton, the only OG cast member returning in a series regular capacity is Danielle Panabaker, who plays Dr. Caitlin Snow. And even though Jesse L. Martin is no longer a series regular, he is expected to recur in season 9 as Iris’s father Joe West.
