Spoilers ahead for The Man from Toronto

Whether you’ve watched the movie or you’re just ready to know how things end and what happens between all the characters such as Teddy (Hart), Toronto (Harrelson) and The Handler (Ellen Barkin), we’ll fill you in on all of the details and spoil the significant ending plot points below.

What happens at the end of The Man from Toronto?

At the end of the movie, Teddy and Toronto swap identities one last time to prevent the Colonel from triggering a bomb that would disrupt the Venezuelan embassy and kill countless people. Things quickly go awry and Toronto escapes with the payment that he would have earned had he successfully completed the job (and split with The Handler).

The Handler is pissed that Toronto left with the money and threatens to kill Teddy if he doesn’t return it. Toronto refuses. The Handler enlists other assassins from around the world, like The Man from Tokyo, The Man from Miami and The Man from Moscow. All of these assassins come after Teddy, but luckily Toronto has a change of heart and arrives to save him.

They manage to take out the assassins, but then The Handler shows up guns blazing. She’s pissed and she wants her money back. She chases the duo into a nearby food processing plant and Teddy inadvertently pulls a lever that sends her plummeting into a giant vat of boiling water, boiling her alive. Yikes.

After that, Toronto loans Teddy his beloved car, Debora, to go get Lori (Jasmine Mathews) back after Teddy messed things up spectacularly with her. Teddy arrives at the train station just before she can leave to go to her mom’s and makes amends. It looks like a happy ending, until the train comes and crashes into Debora.

What happens after the time jump in The Man from Toronto?

A time-jump of one year lets us catch up with the aftermath of all the insanity. Toronto is now dating Anne (Kaley Cuoco) and he finally opened his dream restaurant. Teddy and Lori are still going strong. Teddy even gives Toronto his first “down payment” on the car he owes him after letting Debora get destroyed.

Does The Man from Toronto have a post-credits scene?

There isn’t a post-credits scene but there is a credit scene where we see Teddy has opened his online boxing gym. During the middle of a livestream, Toronto calls Teddy to harass him about the car again.
