At the end of the season, the Hargreeves and the remaining Sparrows manage to reset the timeline, albeit with the assistance of Reginald Hargreeves who almost kills all of them to carry out his sinister agenda.

Ultimately, the timeline gets reset completely and the surviving family members are left with no powers at all in a strange new world. But on the plus side, anyone who was dead (Luther) is now alive and any serious injuries—Diego’s severed fingers and Five’s missing arm—are restored.

Most of the siblings splinter off into groups. However, the season carries one more surprise during the mid-credits scene.

The mid-credits scene creates the perfect bookend for the third season. Season 3 starts with a flashback to October 1, 1989 on a subway train in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. A young woman gives birth after becoming pregnant in a matter of seconds.

In the mid-credits scene, we see Ben Hargreeves on a subway train reading a book. The announcer reveals they are now arriving at the Yeuido Station, which is in Seoul. So we can assume that Ben is now looking for his birth mother. The season begins and ends with Ben in Seoul since all signs point to the woman at the start being his mom.

Harlan did kill all the moms in the previous timeline, but with the reset, now it appears everyone who died in that time will be alive once again.

Ben doesn’t have his powers anymore, but it’ll be interesting to see what happens in his new journey to Seoul. Will we follow him there next season? What might he uncover? With most of the Sparrows gone and Ben unsure of where he fits in now, it makes sense he would go in search of his biological family.
