From the moment Stranger Things season 4 part 1 debuted on May 27, fans have been anxiously counting down the days until part 2’s arrival on July 1 — and understandably so.

The first part of the season ended with one of the season’s most intense episodes yet. We saw Joyce and Hopper finally reunite. Nancy’s life hung in the balance in the Upside Down. Oh, and how could we forget the biggest twist of the episode when it was revealed that Vecna happened to be One, was also Victor Creel’s presumed dead son, Henry, and that Eleven was responsible for trapping him in the Upside Down!

From the moment episode 7 faded to black, fans have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the season’s final two episodes. Speculation has been running rampant over what to expect, but if the latest Stranger Things trailer for season 4 part 2 is any indication, we’re in for quite the insane final ride.

Ahead of Stranger Things season 4 part 2’s release on July 1, Netflix has debuted the official trailer for volume 2 and, we have to warn you, things aren’t looking good for our favorite citizens of Hawkins.

Watch the new Stranger Things trailer below:

In the new trailer, Netflix hypes up the looming final battle with Venca in a powerful new trailer set against part 1’s breakout anthem, “Running Up That Hill.” In the nearly 2-minute long spot, we see the likes of Steve, Robin, Eddie, Dustin, Lucas, Max, Nancy and Eleven preparing to go to war with Vecna in hopes of bringing his reign of terror to an end.

“I have this terrible feeling, it might not work out for us this time,” Robin confesses to Steve as shots of the pair marching off to battle alongside Nancy in the Upside Down are woven together with an emotional exchange between Will and Jonathon. Okay, wasn’t prepared for that emotional gut punch.

What’s perhaps more haunting is Vecna’s proclamation to Eleven in the final scene of the trailer in which he warns her “Your friends have lost,” seeming to hint things are about to get a whole lot worse for those in Hawkins… and I’m not sure if I’m emotionally prepared for what might be ahead.
