A new week arrives and there is some great content heading to Netflix. Here are the top Netflix shows and movies to check out from June 6–12.

There is some great content arriving throughout the week on Netflix. This content can end up getting a little overwhelming. Especially when there’s a lot of quality content.

The Netflix Is a Joke Festival kicks off with Bill Burr: Friends Who Kill on Monday, June 6. There is something new each day, and we’ll include one of the releases to look out for this week. Then there is Action Pack season 2 for the kids and Gladbeck: The Hostage Crisis for those who prefer a documentary.

Hustle

We start with a new Netflix movie starring Adam Sandler. If you love his other releases, then this is certainly worth checking out. He goes back to a sports theme for this one, so think of it like The Longest Yard and Water Boy.

In Hustle, Sandler plays a basketball scout who discovers a new street player. This could help him revive his career, but does the street player have what it takes to make it to the big leagues?

First Kill season 1

When it comes to new Netflix shows and movies, you’ll want to check out First Kill. This is a horror mystery series that brings some supernatural elements.

A teenage vampire falls in love with a vampire hunter. If you love the forbidden love story of Buffy and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this certainly seems like the series for you.

Peaky Blinders season 6

It’s the release we’ve all been waiting for. Peaky Blinders season 6 is finally coming to Netflix. This is the final season of the series, and it does cover how Helen McCrory’s character was written out in the wake of the actress’s sudden passing.

There are six episodes to binge-watch. They start with Tommy heading out to North America, at the time of the Prohibition just ending. This leads to new opportunities but also new dangers.

Trees of Peace

There is something to love about Netflix shows and movies that focus on people from different walks of life finding common ground. That’s what happens with the new movie Trees of Peace. This one sees four women from different backgrounds find something that joins them together.

They are all trapped and in hiding in Rwanda due to the genocide. This movie is based on true inspiring events from the time period.

Need some comedy? There is plenty coming to Netflix this week, and one that you’ll want to look out for is Amy Schumer’s Parental Advisory.

We all love Amy Schumer, right? She has some of the best comedy on TV, and her standup is hilarious. Out of all the comedic specials this week, this is the one we’re most excited about.
