A new tween series titled Surviving Summer is now streaming on Netflix and we’ve shared everything there is to know about it down below!

Surviving Summer was created by Joanna Werner and Josh Mapleston. Ben Chessell, Sian Davies, and Charlotte George served as directors on the series with Mapleston, Marieke Hardy, Magda Wozniak, Keir Wilkins, Gemma Crofts and Kirsty Fisher writing the scripts. Werner also signed on as executive producer along with Stuart Menzies.

It’s an Australian original series starring Sky Katz in the lead role of Summer Torres. You might recognize Katz from her role as Tess in Disney Channel’s Raven’s Home. The rest of the cast includes Kai Lewins, Lilliana Bowrey, Joao Marinho, Savannah La Rain, Chris Alosio, Dustin Clare, Adrienne Pickering, and Pacha Luque.

Surviving Summer synopsis

After getting expelled from her New York City high school, a rebellious teen named Summer Torres is sent to live with some family friends in a tiny surfing town in Australia. At first, Summer comes to the town reluctant to make friends with the locals. But soon, she finds herself falling in love with the town, people, and surfing.

"A rebellious American teen finds family, friendship and the perfect wave after landing in a small Australian surfing town in this tween drama series."

The television series is rated TV-PG, meaning there’s content shown in the show that some parents might consider inappropriate for younger children. Parental guidance is suggested.
