Floor is Lava season 3 updates: Is there going to be a third season?
By Mads Lennon
Given the short length of Floor is Lava season 2, it’s not surprising many fans zoomed through their binge-watch and are now eager to find out if Floor is Lava season 3 is in the cards at Netflix.
The exciting competition reality television series returned with an even more epic second season today, June 3. Even though season 2 had fewer episodes than season 1, it also kicked things up a notch significantly by introducing tough new challenges and an incredible centerpiece in the form of a massive, working volcano.
Even better is that at the end of season 2, episode 5, host Rutledge Wood suggested more episodes were on the way. Netflix has not officially announced a third season is happening, but it seems like the odds are in our favor.
Is Floor is Lava season 3 happening at Netflix?
Nothing is confirmed yet but Wood tells viewers that “more episodes are coming soon” during the final seconds of Floor is Lava season 2, episode 5, “Once Upon a Volcano.”
Netflix often orders episode batches and later slices them up into different seasons or volumes. There is a good chance they ordered 10 episodes (the same number they made for season 1) and then just cut it in half to make a second and third season. If that is true, then a third season would already be in the works and potentially even filmed already.
Floor is Lava season 3 release predictions
All we can do is speculate for now until we know for sure that Netflix is adding more episodes, but it would be really strange for Wood to say that if there wasn’t more on the way.
If, like I theorized, the episode order was split up, we might get the third volume as soon as this year, maybe at the end of the summer. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more!
