The Perfect Mother is a French original series directed by Fred Garson from scripts written by Carol Noble and Thomas Boulle. It’s a television adaptation of the novel of the same name by Nina Darnton.

It’s about a loving mother named Helene, who races to clear her daughter’s name after finding out that she’s been accused of murder. But Helene wasn’t expecting to uncover disturbing truths that make her start questioning if her daughter is actually innocent.

You might recognize Gayet from her roles in projects such as 8 Times Up, Select Hotel and The French Minister. Eden Ducourant plays Helene’s daughter, Anya Berg. Anya is accused of murdering a man, but Helene refuses to believe she could commit such a crime. Ducourant is best known for her roles in the television series titled Totems and the movie Little Tickles. Tomer Sisley plays Vincent Duc, Helene’s former fling. Helene calls Vincent for help in clearing her daughter’s name since he’s a lawyer. Sisley is known for his roles in We’re the Millers, Sleepless Night and Don’t Look Up.
