Interceptor cast guide: Who’s who in the action film?

Interceptor is a tense and thrilling action movie coming to Netflix this Friday. If you like watching women be badass and enjoy well-choreographed fight sequences, you’ll certainly want to add this movie to your watchlist.

The movie centers around a remote missile interceptor base in the Pacific Ocean manned by Captain JJ Collins, played by Elsa Pataky. But things go awry when a former US military intelligence officer takes over the base and tries to disarm it so he can enact an unthinkable plan that could destroy most of the world.

Elsa Pataky and Luke Bracey are the leads in this film as the main heroine and the antagonist, but Interceptor also has a great cast of supporting players, too.

Elsa Pataky as Captain JJ Collins

Elsa is a talented Spanish actress and model who takes the lead in Interceptor as Captain JJ Collins. With roles in over twenty films and three television series, Elsa has become one of the most well-known Spanish actresses of her generation.

Where have you seen her before?  Elsa is best known for playing Vin Diesel’s love interest, Elena, in the Fast and Furious franchise. She started in Fast 5 and has since reprised her role in several additional movies in the series, including Fast and Furious 6, Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious. She has also starred in projects like Netflix’s Tidelands, 12 Strong, Ninette and Snakes on a Plane.

What’s next? She is next set to appear in Carmen with director Ben Millepied and psychological thriller, Poker Face with director, Russell Crowe.

Luke Bracey as Alexander Kessel

Luke Bracey stars opposite of Elsa Pataky in Interceptor as the charismatic yet crooked Alexander Kessel. A former US military intelligence officer, Alexander attempts to carry out a horrific plan that JJ must stop at all costs.

Where have you seen him before? Luke starred in the hit Netflix film Holidate, which was seen by over 68 million households and ranks among the streamer’s most-watched films of all time. He also appeared in Hulu’s Little Fires Everywhere, the movie Lucky Day with Nina Dobrev, Hacksaw Ridge, Monte Carlo, Point Break and more.

What’s next? He has multiple films on the horizon, including a role in Baz Luhrmann’s highly-anticipated Elvis Presley biopic where he stars alongside Tom Hanks as real-life character Jerry Schilling. He will also star in the film adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s bestseller One True Loves alongside Phillipa Soo and Simu Liu and the movie Big Nickel opposite Brittany Snow.
