The new Rebel Wilson movie has arrived on Netflix! Senior Year premiered on the streamer on May 13, and the comedy is already one of the funniest new Netflix movies of the year.

Wilson stars in Senior Year as Stephanie, a woman who wakes up from a 20-year coma to realize she’s nearly 40 and no longer in her senior year of high school. She decides to go back to high school to grab her prom queen crown and reclaim the life she always wanted.

Obviously, things don’t go exactly according to Stephanie’s plan once she returns to her senior year of high school. But while watching the movie, some might wonder who she ends up with by the time she graduates. How does the movie end, and which guy does she choose?

Warning: Spoilers from the end of Senior Year ahead!

Does Stephanie end up with Blaine in Senior Year?

Unfortunately for anyone who was hoping that Rebel Wilson’s character and Justin Hartley’s character would get back together by the end of Senior Year, Stephanie and Blaine don’t rekindle their flame. Rather, Blaine remains happily (?) married to Tiffany (Zoë Chao).

Stephanie and Blaine finally got together toward the end of high school after Stephanie had been pining after him when they were younger. Of course, Blaine goes on to marry and have a daughter with Stephanie’s enemy Tiffany while she’s in a 20-year coma.

Does Stephanie end up with Seth in Senior Year?

From the pre-coma scenes, it’s pretty obvious that there’s something between Stephanie and Seth that goes sadly unexplored because of Stephanie’s obsession with popularity. She doesn’t really see Seth or her best friend Martha or anyone who isn’t Blaine, for that matter.

Even when she gets her second chance at her senior year, Stephanie remains committed to becoming popular and getting her “dream life.” Through it all, Seth (Sam Richardson) sticks by her side until she finally realizes she has feelings for him and they kiss at graduation.

Senior Year ending scene explained

In the last scenes of the movie, Stephanie realizes there’s more to life than winning prom queen and landing her so-called “dream life.” She also realizes the downfall of her selfish actions and the negative effect it has on the people around her, thanks to a chat from Alicia Silverstone (who makes a cameo as a Lyft driver and Stephanie’s former “dream life” idol).

Stephanie goes live on Instagram to apologize and later has her triumphant moment at graduation when she not only gets her diploma but dances with her new friends to the cheer routine she choreographed in the 2000s. Best of all, she sticks the landing to the move that originally put her in a coma.
