It looks like Netflix’s library of medical drama series will be down another show because The Night Shift will be departing the streamer very soon. We’ve made sure to share the departure date so that you can immediately start your binge session before The Night Shift leaves Netflix.

The Night Shift is an NBC television series that aired from May 2014 to August 2017 with a series total of four seasons. Longtime business partners Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah created the medical drama about a group of doctors from the Army who work the late-night shift at a hospital in San Antonio.

The well-ensemble cast included Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Ken Leung, Brendan Fehr, Robert Bailey, Jr., Jeananne Goossen, JR Lemon, Freddy Rodriguez, Daniella Alonso, Scott Wolf, Tanaya Beatty, and Luke McFarlane.

Before the fourth season first aired, Netflix received seasons 1-2 in March 2017. In June 2017, the streamer licensed season 3, and then in June 2018, Netflix received season 4. So Netflix has had the entire series available to stream on its platform for a while. Sadly, the streamer will be losing all four seasons this June. Below, you’ll find when The Night Shift will be leaving Netflix and where it will stream next.

When is The Night Shift leaving Netflix?

As reported by What’s on Netflix, the medical drama series will be departing Netflix on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. This means the last day you can watch all four seasons of the show on Netflix is on June 6.

It’s definitely possible to watch the entire series by the departure date. You just have to set aside time to give your complete undivided attention to the medical series.

Where to watch The Night Shift

It’s unknown where the show will be streaming next. However, you will still have the option to purchase complete seasons or individual episodes from Google Play, Amazon Instant Video, and Vudu.

Although a specific streamer isn’t known yet, it’s possible that the medical series could start streaming on Peacock next since that’s NBC’s official streaming home. However, we have to keep in mind that Sony Pictures Television is the distributor, and Sony doesn’t have a sole streaming service it licenses its content to.

After The Night Shift leaves Netflix, you will still have the option to watch shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Chicago Med on the streamer. But those medical shows are also licensed, so you might want to get to those as soon as possible.
