Next she’ll further showcase her writing talents with the upcoming Netflix series First Kill, on which she serves as creator, head writer and executive producer.
The show focuses on a love story between a vampire and a vampire slayer. Lead character Juliette needs to make her first kill and take her place among her powerful vampire family, but when she chooses a girl named Calliope and learns she comes from a line of hunters, both girls discover neither will be easy to murder.
Schwab’s show is based on one of her short stories. Felicia D. Henderson (The Punisher, Gossip Girl) will serve as the showrunner, writer and executive producer alongside Schwab. Emma Roberts and Karah Preiss are also executive producing through Belletrist Productions. The series stars Sarah Catherine Hook, Imani Lewis, Elizabeth Mitchell, Aubin Wise, Gracie Dzienny, Dominic Goodman, Phillip Mullings, Jr. and Jason R. Moore.
