The SNL alum stars in I Love That For You as Joanna Gold, an aspiring shopping channel host that lies about her childhood cancer returning in order to prevent being terminated from her job. The story is actually inspired by Bayer’s personal experiences having had childhood leukemia.

The single-camera series was filmed in Los Anges and will consist of eight well-crafted entries. Also starring alongside Bayer is a solid cast of familiar faces, including Molly Shannon, Jenifer Lewis, Matt Rogers, Paul James, Matt Malloy, Punam Patel, Ayden Mayeri, and Jason Schwartzman.
