Honeymoon with My Mother will be making its way to Netflix on April 29, and this new release you’re not going to want to miss!

Honeymoon with My Mother, otherwise known as Amor de Madre, is an upcoming Spanish film directed by Paco Caballero from a screenplay co-written by Cristóbal Garrido and Adolfo Valor. Caballero is best known for his director work on the television series Cites. Garrido is known for co-creating the comedy series Reyes de la noche with Valor.

The cast stars Carmen Machi, Quim Gutiérrez, Justina Bustos, Yolanda Ramos, and Dominique Guillo. Elite‘s Andrés Velencoso also makes an appearance in the comedy film.

Honeymoon with My Mother synopsis

It’s about a young man named José Luis who is left standing at the altar after his fiance leaves him for another guy. But what is José to do about the expensive honeymoon trip? Well, his overprotective mother steps in and suggests that she goes with him on the trip, so it doesn’t seem like a waste of money. While José’s mother is really enjoying herself on the trip, José couldn’t be more displeased.

"José Luis (Quim Gutiérrez) just has been stood up in the altar and, if that’s not enough,Mari Carmen (Carmen Machi), his persistent mother, has blinded herself on go with him on his honeymoon, with the excuse of not wasting the money. Every minute that they spend together in Mauritius, José Luis is feeling more unhappy and washed-up. Meanwhile, Mari Carmen is having the time of her life, living all the experiences that she has always wanted and revealing herself as the wonderful woman she really is and that nobody in her family can see."
