Netflix is adding 19 new movies and shows this week

A new week is here and you know what that means? Netflix is adding a bunch of new movies and shows to its lineup. This time the new stuff includes a mini-series based on a popular book, a new horror movie, and a 2014 thriller that, if you haven’t seen it already, will keep you on the edge of your seat.

On Friday, April 15, Anatomy of a Scandal, based on the very popular book of the same name by Sarah Vaughan, will hit Netflix. The mini-series follows a sexual consent scandal that rocks London’s rich and privileged society. The scandal might just knock one of the most charismatic public figures off his pedestal.

The series stars Sienna Miller, Michelle Dockery, Naomi Scott, Rupert Friend, Ben Radcliffe, Josette Simon, Jonathan Coy, Violet Verigo, and Kudzai Sitima.

Netflix adds Anatomy of a Scandal and Choose or Die this week

More in the mood for some horror? Choose or Die is also heading to Netflix on Friday, April 15, 2022. The movie tells the story of two friends who reboot a weird 1980s video game and find themselves in a world that they never expected. It’s terrifying, to say the least.

Choose or Die stars Asa Butterfield, Eddie Marsan, Robert Englund, Ryan Gage, and Kate Fleetwood.

The 2014 thriller drama, Nightcrawler is also coming out on Netflix this week. It hits the streaming service on Sunday, April 10. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Louis Bloom, a conman who is looking for work and finds it in the world of crime journalism in Los Angeles.

If he can be the first on the scene to take pictures or videos of major crimes, he can make a ton of money. But things begin to get darker and more sinister when he starts being a participant in the crimes he reports on.

This week also brings season 2 of Almost Happy on Wednesday, April 13, and season 5 of Van Helsing on Saturday, April 16.
