A new reality series will be coming to Netflix on April 6, and it’s called The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Brought to you by the creators of Love is Blind, six couples put their love to the test in an experiment that tests each couple’s commitment.

After the release of the explosive Love is Blind season 2, fans were hoping for more content. Fortunately, the creators announced a new reality series during the reunion special, and this time around, the participants are already paired up in couples.

Love is Blind co-hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey return as co-hosts for the new original series, and we’re so excited to see all that happens in The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Since the show is created by the Love is Blind creators, we’re expecting a great first season.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On synopsis

The show starts with six couples who can’t agree on a timeline for marriage. While one partner is ready for marriage, the other has cold feet. In response, the partner ready for marriage issues an ultimatum. Each couple chooses to participate in a social experiment where they will split up and explore a love connection with a potential partner from another couple for a period of time.

Once the original couples are back together, they must decide if they want to go forward with marriage or break up for good. Some participants might decide to leave their original partner for somebody else involved in the experiment at the end.

"Six different couples, on the verge of marriage. One partner is ready to get married, the other isn’t quite as sure. An ultimatum is issued – and in just over eight weeks, they must commit to marriage, or move on. In the meantime, each will choose a new potential partner from one of the other couples, in a life-changing opportunity to get a glimpse of two different possible futures."

The first season consists of 10 episodes total and will be split up into two batches. Episodes 1-8 will be released on Netflix on April 6, and the finale and reunion special will be released on April 13. It’s rated TV-MA, meaning it’s for mature audiences only. So you’ll want to make sure the kids are occupied before you hit play and binge-watch The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On to your heart’s content.
