Of course, this season brings in new characters for us to fall in love with, as Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) returns for his social season. He’s ready to find a wife — but not a love match — which proves easier said than done.

Anthony falls in love with newcomer Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), despite the fact that he already started courting her younger sister, the season’s “diamond,” Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran). As we get more and more invested into the story of Bridgerton season 2, it’s difficult not to also become interested with the actors on screen.

At the time of this writing, Bailey is not yet married to our knowledge. He could, however, have a boyfriend as multiple sources report he’s linked to fellow actor James Ellis. But even though he’s been photographed out with Ellis, this suspected relationship has not been confirmed. Bailey is very active on social media, but his Instagram doesn’t show any proof of a romantic relationship. It’s possible that he’s just private about that part of his life.

There seems to be some mixups when it comes to the actor Jonathan Bailey’s relationship status, as there is another man named Jonathan Bailey, a personal trainer who’s married to TV host and sports anchor Sage Steele. They are not the same person!

Although we don’t have confirmation from Bailey whether or not he’s in a relationship, we do know that he’s gay. The Bridgerton actor has been open about his sexuality in interviews, discussing how he was once fearful of how it would affect his career.
