Episode 6

The opening scene of Pieces of Her episode 6 shows just how screwed up the Queller family is, namely Martin Queller, who serves his daughter a cocktail with a side of drugs in a chilling flashback. The scene also implies that Jane is now pregnant at this point in time so it begs the question of whether Martin knows and if the drugs in question are related to the baby or something else entirely.

Back in the present, Jane visits Jasper, their first face-to-face in decades. He offers her his security team to find Andy. Jane also says she could destroy Jasper’s entire political career with one phone call if she wanted, which is interesting. After, Jane reaches out to Charlie, who isn’t happy to hear from her after she went against his wishes and left WITSEC. Regardless, we know Charlie cares about Andy, so he agrees to try and find her.

Following Michael’s trail, Andy goes to his hotel room and finds his laptop along with the suitcase. The laptop contains additional information about Oslo and the Army of the Changing World. Before Andy can leave, the man who previously attacked her at the motel room arrives with a woman. They take the suitcase and leave. Andy secretly follows them, even climbing into the trunk of their car to go with them to wherever their next meeting place is and get the suitcase back.

She and Jane finally meet up again face-to-face at a diner. Jane tries to convince Andy to let the Nick thing go, but Andy wants to follow through and figure out what happened in the past. Jane promises Andy they can leave the diner and go straight to the police to contact the FBI, but of course, the second Andy is distracted Jane tries to leave her there, driving off before Andy can stop her.

In the flashbacks, we find out what happened in the aftermath of the Oslo incident. Jane returns to the Army of the Changing World’s bunker, unaware she’s being followed. There, we meet a younger Paula Kunde (Mia Artemis). We also see the real Professor Maplecroft (Raelene Chapman), who the group is still keeping as a hostage, though they intend to release her soon. All that money in the suitcase we keep seeing? It was the ransom money for Alex. Jane kept it all these years as a safety measure for her and Andy.

Things quickly go awry with the group though, as Alex escapes her bindings and attacks Jane, biting her hand. Then she uses a piece of rebar to swipe at Jane, who cries out for Nick. Alex manages to stab him straight through the palm. Nick flips his hand to cut her neck. It’s the same move Jane used against the restaurant shooter in the first episode!

After that, everything descends into chaos as the FBI raids the place, shooting and killing one member and also shooting Jane’s brother Andrew (Nicholas Burton). The group manages to escape, but barely.
