Perhaps the Netflix show most likely for a renewal on this list, the horror series Archive 81 premiered on the streaming in January 2022 and became something of a dark horse hit. The beginning of the year is always a relative dead zone for new releases, but the series fared well.

Between The Haunting franchise and Midnight Mass, horror series tend to perform well on Netflix, and considering Archive 81 offered viewers something a little bit different than the usual fare as of late, it was surely a welcome addition to the Netflix lineup.

In its debut week, Deadline reports that Archive 81 posted over a billion streaming minutes according to Nielsen. Those aren’t numbers to scoff at, considering Ozark ranks just above the horror series with under three billion streaming minutes.

Of course, there’s always more to Netflix’s decision to renew a series than simple numbers, but Archive 81 appears to be a steady performer, and we know its fans are down for more of the found footage series. As of February 2022, there’s no word on the show’s fate, but keep those fingers crossed for some good renewal news!
