A new week may be here and Netflix is certainly adding new movies and shows, but the number is pretty low. Maybe it’s because it’s the last full week of the month or may it’s because February is so short, but there are only 11 new and new-ish things coming out this week.
The new things include a spin-off of a historical series, a docu-series on a NASCAR driver, and a movie from a popular franchise.
If you liked Vikings on Netflix, you’ll probably be very interested in Vikings: Valhalla when it hits the streaming service on Friday, Feb. 25. The spin-off series takes place 100 years after Vikings and a new generation of people are ready to make history. The series will follow Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Hardrada, and William the Conquerer.
Considering we still know some of those names today, they definitely made some memorable history
Netflix adding Vikings: Valhalla and Race: Bubba Wallace this week

Race: Bubba Wallace is also coming out this week on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022. The docu-series follows NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace Jr. as he competes for the 23XI Racing team in 2021. As the sports’ only full-time Black driver, he’s looking to make changes and that started with getting the Confederate flag removed from NASCAR events. As you can imagine, he also hits many barriers along the way.

Tyler Perry is also back on Netflix with Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming. The movie hits the streaming service on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022. The new Madea movie follows the grandmother as she goes to her great-grandson’s college graduation party. There will be drama (and possibly a fire in Madea’s front yard) and Madea will not be putting up with any of it.
