What is Love and Leashes about?

If you’re an avid romance fan (books or movies), Love and Leashes, is likely right up your alley. The new Netflix movie is based on a webcomic called Moral Sense by Gyeoul and is the ultimate co-workers to lovers romance with a twist.

Don’t think this Korean romance is like other rom-coms you’ve seen on Netflix before. This is five times spicier. It’s like if 50 Shades of Grey was well-written and not all kinds of problematic.

The movie stars Joon-Young Lee as Jung Ji-Hoo and Seohyun as Jung Ji-Woo. Their characters work together at a large corporation. They don’t really know one another until one day, Ji-Woo opens up a package meant for Ji-Hoo, and so starts their unique relationship.

Love and Leashes is hitting Netflix on Friday, Feb. 11.

What is Love and Leashes about?

Jung Ji Hoo is blunt, cold, and all about business when at work, but despite this, his female co-workers are still mad about him. Crushes galore.

Unfortunately, his cool and calm demeanor goes out the window when one of his female co-workers, Jung Ji-Woo, opens one of his packages for the whole office to see.  They have similar names so it’s understandable there was a mistake and she got the package instead. But what’s inside? A dog collar and it’s not for a dog.

Ji-Hoo tries to pretend it’s for his dog, but it becomes pretty clear it’s for him and his sex life.

After that embarrassing encounter, Ji-Woo and Ji-Hoo enter into an arrangement. Ji-Hoo explains to her that he is into S&M and that he likes to play a submissive role. She doesn’t judge him which leads Ji-Hoo to ask her to be his dominant (or his master).

They arrange a 3-month contract and begin a racy romance that indulges all of Ji-Hoo’s fantasies. But what starts as a dominant and submissive relationship may soon turn into real feelings and love before they realize it.

At first, Ji-Woo doesn’t know what her role means, but as she says in the trailer, she’s a “fast learner.”
