Inventing Anna is a miniseries created and produced by the brilliant Shonda Rhimes, and it’s based on the New York article “How Anna (Sorokin) Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler.

Breakout star Julia Garner stars in the titular role as Anna Delvey and Anna Chlumsky stars opposite Garner. The rest of the cast includes Laverne Cox, Anders Holm, Alexis Floyd, Arian Moayed, Jeff Perry, and others.

This show has been in development since 2018, and now viewers will finally get to see all nine episodes of the Netflix original series this Friday, Feb. 11. What is Inventing Anna about?

The upcoming drama series tells the story of the notorious scammer, Anna Delvey (Anna Sorokin), and how she managed to convince New York City’s elite that she was a German heiress and con them for several years. The show also focuses on the journalist who followed Anna’s case, Vivian, as she works to figure out how Anna was able to scam New York’s wealthy socialites.
