February is here! And with a new month comes a bunch of new movies and shows on Netflix. The streaming service is starting off the month right with some returning favorites and quite a bit of new content as well.

This week brings a new season of two Netflix Original shows, a new documentary, and a new historical drama.

Sweet Magnolias season 2 is finally here! It hits Netflix on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022. The show follows three Southern women who have been best friends since high school. As they experience romance, career highs and lows, and starting families, they support each other every step of the way.

This season will start with more information about Kyle and how’s he doing after the car accident. We’ll also learn who was in the car with him. There will also be plenty of romance with Maddie and Cal back on track with their relationship and Helen still trying to figure out her feelings for Erik.

The other returning Netflix Original is Raising Dion. Season 2 is coming to Netflix on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022. Raising Dion tells the story of a widowed single mother and her son who has superpowers. But raising a son with powers is harder than it looks especially when there are people who want to use his powers for their own purposes. She does her best to try to keep his gift hidden from the world.

Season 2 will show Dion learning more about his powers and finding a way to bring his dad back for good. But things won’t be easy and he’ll have to face lots of challenges along the way.

This week also brings a new Netflix documentary, The Tinder Swindler. The film tells the real-life story of a man posing as a wealthy diamond mogul who finds multiple women on Tinder and convinces them to give him millions of dollars. But now that the women have figured out his con, it’s time for payback. The documentary hits Netflix on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022

My Best Friend Anne Frank is also coming to Netflix this week. It releases on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022. The film is based on the real-life friendship between Anne Frank and Hannah Gosler in Nazi-occupied Amsterdam. Once they both go into hiding, they don’t meet again until they are both in a concentration camp.

With it just being Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan. 27), this might be a film to watch to remember what happened. To remember the people that were tortured and killed.
