Josh Dallas will definitely be the biggest Netflix star of 2022 with Manifest season 4

Unless you somehow boarded a flight that went missing for five and a half years, you have heard of Manifest. The NBC mystery-drama series starring Josh Dallas was canceled after three seasons, but Netflix swooped in and saved the series for Manifest season 4 thanks to a huge rise in popularity.

Of course, Manifest features Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh in the leading roles as Ben and Michaela Stone, just two of many passengers whose lives were absolutely upended by Flight 828. But the series also features one of the best ensemble casts you’ll see on TV right now.

There’s no doubt that each of these talented cast members will have an even more impressive uptick in popularity (they’re already beloved by their adoring Manifesters, and for good reason!) once Manifest season 4 drops in late 2022, especially Dallas.

Josh Dallas will be the breakout Netflix star of 2022

Since 2011, Dallas has been regularly charming (see what we did there?) television viewers, first as Prince Charming in Once Upon a Time and now as Ben Stone in Manifest. It’s about time Netflix fans take greater notice of the actor and make him 2022’s breakout star.

Each year, a few Netflix stars have an inescapable breakout moment, whether it’s Regé-Jean Page making tongues wag on Bridgerton or Penn Badgley going viral each time You releases a new season. In 2021, we dubbed Ben Barnes the biggest breakout Netflix star.

As Manifest prepares to premiere its debut season as a Netflix original series, we’re expecting the streamer to throw a bigger (see: better) promotional run behind the series in the lead up of its final episodes. That means, Manifesters will see a lot more of the cast.

We’re of course hoping to a see a greater appreciation for Josh Dallas, because if there’s a working actor that deserves more love, it’s him. Between Once Upon a Time and Manifest, he’s always been able to sell the craziest of storylines with a totally present and game commitment.

In the hands of a lesser actor, Ben Stone wouldn’t be nearly as endearing in his tireless attempts to investigate the truth behind the Flight 828 disappearance. He makes a few questionable decisions every so often to help protect his family that winds up testing the loyalties of the people around him. But Ben has a good heart, and Dallas wears that heart on his sleeve.

We can’t wait for even more Netflix fans to see that heart and INCREDIBLE head of hair (we’ll talk about Ben Stone’s season 3 hairdo another time) in action when Manifest season 4 premieres. Get ready for a new favorite Netflix star to takeoff and take over this year.
